Upgrading furniture

After a very unfortunate event, a.k.a. Jasper decided to turn our old couch into a toy, we needed to upgrade our furniture. In the past Jasper has had a hard time with fabric couches, and if it even has a small tear, he will start destroying it while we are away. What he does like and doesn't tear apart is leather.
We started exploring RV furniture and not only were the prices outrageous, they didn't seem as comfortable as normal household furniture. However, when we looked at the measurements of our old couch, there was nothing that was that small, so we decided to switch some things around. After moving the dinning room table to where the recliners were we had plenty of room to upgrade the couch and get a newer recliner.
It took us a couple visits to the furniture store to decide which one we wanted, but when we found the one, we were extremely happy with getting rid of the old and bringing on the new furniture. The only downside is that it isn't a pull out sofa, but we rarely have visitors that stay the night. if they do want to spend the night, the couch is extremely comfortable:)
It was a bit tricky getting the old furniture out and the new furniture in through the RV door, but when we had it all set up we couldn't be happier!! We get to enjoy a nice view while we eat, and  we have spent more time in the living room area than ever before! We were a bit worried about the weight on the slide-outs, but after our recent move to Colorado, everything worked great.
So if you are shopping for RV furniture, I recommend broadening your search to normal furniture as well. Just make sure you triple check your measurements, and it's ALOT cheaper!!
Happy Rving:)
